John Lithgow Nails ‘Complete Embarrassment’ Rudy Giuliani on ‘Colbert’

2 min read

In his third appearance as Rudy Giuliani on The Late Present Thursday evening, John Lithgow held nothing again.

The actor, who was on the present to advertise his latest collection of satirical poems, joined Stephen Colbert on the heels of Giuliani’s reported ban from Fox News. “Banned from the one community that encourages drunken conspiracy theories? Will Rudy ever seem on TV once more?” Colbert requested earlier than introducing the previous New York Metropolis mayor in all his glory.

Admitting he was “a little bit confused” proper off the bat, Giuliani excused himself to speak to his “chief of workers” after which guzzled some pink wine.

“Wait, so it’s true that you simply generally get drunk earlier than talking in public?” Colbert requested.

“What?! I by no means get drunk! Ever, ever, ever!” his visitor insisted. “I solely drink to offer an excuse for the way in which I act. Legally, that’s believable deniability. Or because the Queen of England would say it, ‘That’s simply the booze speaking, innit gov’nuh?” When Colbert requested if he ever worries about getting “absolutely disbarred,” Giuliani replied, “What? No! You may’t ban me from bars! That’s the place I meet up with my authorized crew!”

He spent the remainder of the interview taping Cameo videos on his telephone, together with one for Donald Trump with the intention of getting back in his good graces.

“Hey, Mr. Former President, that is Rudy Giuliani talking,” he started. “Thanks for requesting me on Cameo. I’m excited to, as soon as once more, be getting paid to say no matter you need me to. Right here we go: I’m a complete clown who you’ve by no means met and I’m a dumb loser, an absolute turd in an inexpensive swimsuit who can’t inform his ass from—”

At that time, Colbert minimize him off, saying, “Sir, cease! Even by your individual requirements you’re humiliating your self on tv.”

“What? They let me on TV once more?” Giuliani requested in horror. “Oh, god, you’re proper, Stephen. I appear like a complete embarrassment.” Then he began trimming his nostril hairs on digicam.
